Savannah...

I'll just include a few pictures that I've taken over the past month. I guess we've been in Savannah about 6 weeks...finally seems like home...after A LOT of adjusting! So much has changed so fast (as it does with kids). Norah is going to the "big girl" potty and speaking in sentences. Hazel is eating more solids, sleeping better, sitting up, and even trying to pull up! We are trying to have a lot of fun this summer...taking regular trips to the beach, pool, park, etc...

On another note, Lee is adjusting to 80+ hours of work per week. I cannot say that having him gone so much is fun but we knew it was coming (and it is only for 1 year). Norah has had the most difficult time with him being gone...she is at the age where she knows when he is missing and it really confuses her. I do believe that she is starting to understand. When I ask her "where is daddy"...she says "daddy doctor at hospital"! It is kinda cute!

I'll try to do better with more pictures...

We sold our TV...

but I'm afraid that Lee is going to buy a new one...I'm trying to talk him out of it...but I doubt my argument will work!!! Anyway, it has been nice around here without it. Lee usually flips it on the morning but instead he sat down with Norah and read her several books this morning. I'm thinking to myself...boy, this is nice! I have a feeling that the empty space on our wall will be replaced soon...so I will enjoy for now. You know, its like having cookies in the house...if they are here then I will eat them. If there is a TV then it is so easy to watch it!!!

Congratulations Lee!!!

This post is in honor of my very good looking, funny, smart, and compassionate hubby Lee. Lee graduates from medical school on Saturday. Wow, that is hard to wrap my mind around!!! It just seems like we started. Anyway, 4 years later, he is a doctor!!! I am so proud of him. He has successfully completed medical school and still gave more of his time to us. Thank you, sweetie, for all of your hard work and for providing for us.

I will be sure to post some pictures of graduation...it is going to be CRAZY...graduation is at 5:00 PM on Saturday and Hazel is being dedicated at church the next day, on Mother's Day. We have A LOT of friends and family coming to visit. It is going to be an unforgettable weekend!!!

Instant Starbucks

I got these 2 sample packs of the new Starbucks instant coffee...not too bad. It has served its purpose over the past few days!!! On a side note, I am up and going before the girls b/c I had a GREAT nights sleep last night. Hazel did not wake up until 3:30 and when I woke up, I had to think about where I was...I have not had sleep like that in a LONG time!!!

Anyway, I am also excited about the return of my husband. It has been a long, tiring, stressful, and emotional week. It has pushed me and tried me...but now at the end of it I can say that I am thankful for it. This week reminded/taught me of a lot...

I love my husband and I love that he helps me so much at home
I have great friends and family
Do not go to the zoo with 4 kids (only 2 which can walk) w/o a functional stroller and Bjorn
I have more than I need
Hazel does not sleep well unless she is in her bed
My mom is a champion
The girls do better with just me

The most important lesson...I CAN DO THIS. I have to admit that I was scared for Lee to leave. I was worried about his safety but I really did not think I would make it by myself with the girls...but I did. This week has given me encouragement for the year ahead. Lee's intern year will be tough but we are going to be fine! I'm just thinking that I will need more instant Starbucks!!!

My heart has grown two sizes...

I feel like The Grinch by Dr. Seuss. My heart has grown so big that it just popped open!

Someone asked me today how it feels to love two babies and it made me think...I love my sweet, precious girls with the exact same love. I guess I was expecting to share the love I had between the two but instead my heart has grown. Now, Norah has one heart and Hazel has the other (cannot wait to grow three hearts!!!).

I am absolutely silly about my girls.

They are my reason...

Mixing colors...

Norah and I experimented with colors the other day. I found the recipe online...it was really just a big mess but it entertained her for almost an hour. We started with red, blue, and yellow and then mixed the colors to make purple, green, and orange. I guess we will try it again when she is older and understands her colors a little more... Regardless, it was fun!!!

Happy Valentine's Day

Norah is having a Valentine's Day party at church (her MMO class) on Thursday. We decided to make the Valentines for her classmates. The idea was to add arms and legs...we did not get to that step!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!
